The house of Chanel went on a cruise this week. A holiday away from Paris to stage a show in Asia. Right here in Singapore where I live, the country to which I was born. It’s been
really unfortunate grossly disappointing then that I couldn’t even get an invite to the show of the year or of the decade especially when it’s happening on my home ground. Singapore’s very first Chanel showcase on a global front. Honestly, I do feel it a tad unfair to not be given this opportunity to see the collection in person so I can give you my readers a more in depth interpretation like I always do. The insight scoop!
With the whole Singaporean kiasu (afraid of losing out) mentality, all the hype has naturally lead to a huge surge of people trying every means and ways to get a coveted seat at the show. Perhaps if there wasn’t so much of a hype, I could have had a better chance. A chance to go on a ‘holiday’.
There are times when I’m just tired. Tired of running after this rare bird. If it wants to come to me, let it be. If it chooses to fly away, I’m not going to chase after it anymore. At some stage, it all seems kind of pointless really. Why run after something when the love isn’t mutual? I guess it’s high time for me to stop being silly and let nature runs it’s course. Time for me to take a break and let the pictures do the talking…
