Following last year’s 100 unique hand painted refrigerators, Dolce & Gabbana and Italian home appliances company, Smeg team up once again for a dishy collaboration to spice up kitchens. This time round, smaller products — think — toasters, citrus juicers, coffee machines, kettles, blenders, stand mixers and slow juicers — get the lavish Sicilian update.

Named Sicily is My Love, the collection sees pieces decorated with reflective interpretations of folklore from the Mediterranean isle days of yore.

Lemons, prickly pears and bright cherries framed in triangular motifs known as crocchi tell a story of the enthralling Mount Etna or the picture-perfect ruins of Castor and Pollux’s Greek temple in the Valley of Temples, surrounded by ornamental florals and optical shades. So unmistakably Dolce & Gabbana, these gorgeous appliances are worth the investment as much as our wardrobe. Besides being objet d’arts, it’s swell that they’ll add extra reasons to work on our domestic chops.

Dolce & Gabbana and Smeg showed Sicily is My Love during 2017’s Salone del Mobile di Milano. The full collection will be available in October 2017.
