With its clean lines and monochromatic look, the Horizon may not be the loudest bag on the block, but it certainly packs the most punch. Originally launching with the Fall 2016 Givenchy collection, the Riccardo Tisci-designed bag joins the much-coveted ranks of the Nightingale, Pandora, and the Antigona, while making a statement all of its own.
The most defining elements of the bag are its straight lines and right angles, which are emphasized by a monochromatic look, seamless handles, and—most notably—a horizontal band that wraps around the top. The bag also features expandable side panels, a removable shoulder strap, and calfskin lining.
As a synonym of hope for Riccardo Tisci, its name was chosen to deliver a positive message, to evoke the prospect of a bright future.
And now, for their Spring/Summer 2017 collection, Givenchy has introduced a new nano size version of the coveted bag in addition to the medium, small and mini versions already available. Priced at S$2,100 each for the nano, the new Horizon bag comes in colours such as fiery red, black, nude pink or sky blue.
