If you haven’t popped in yet, tomorrow (22 March) marks the final day of Dior’s pop-up store in Singapore. Held for two weeks at ION Orhard Atrium Level 1, the pop-up is one among seven others unveiled around the world. Offering a closer look of the house’s debut ready-to-wear collection from new creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, expect to go gaga over its covetable array of tulles and kitten heels.
The Dior code has always been about classic femininity, but for this collection, Chiuri translated it into an equilibrium of power and fragility: New leisurely Bar suites, fencing uniforms with an embroidered heart patched on the chest, to fairytale tulle dresses splattered with Monsieur Dior’s superstitious emblems, of which we can’t help but drool over (albeit looking a tad bit Valentino-esque, to be honest) when Bella Hadid wore one the other day.
The accessories department ain’t too shabby either. With knuckle rings, bags-slash-clutches, sling-back kitten heels all spelling “J’ADIOR”, what are you waiting for? Try getting immersed in this brave new world of DIO(R)EVOLUTION, where we should all be feminists (a nudge to the already sold-out graphic tee—boo hoo). Trust us, you’ll never look back.
