Enter Chloe Sevigny, reprising her 1996 role as the campaign face of Miu Miu. It’s no surprise really, to discover that their eyewear collection for Fall/Winter 2012 boasts of strong and bold silhouettes, underlining the season’s fiercely androgynous style. After all, Sevigny herself likes to muddle the line between the feminine and masculine, resulting in a personal style aesthetic strongly reminiscent of British dandyism. Signature retro-style sunglass models that we’ve been seeing last season now feature get this – suede – in colours like camellia, turquoise and dark rose tones for an unexpected and unusual twist. And the clubmaster’s definitely well on its way back, this time newly embellished with colourful enamels. At Prada, shapes were inspired by the early part of the 20th century, evolving into cat’s eye lines embellished by coloured stones in a quirky kinda uni-brow effect.

What I love about it is that with all that technology, it now fits just right into an 8.5 X 6.5cm case. Just about right to be conveniently tossed into a day clutch.
