There’s a first time for everything. In Prada’s case, there were two: rejoining the cruise schedule with a new womenswear line-up, and staging the show at Fondazione Prada’s latest art space addition, Osservatorio.

Located at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, atop the inaugural 1913 Prada store, Osservatorio did not just play venue to Prada’s debut cruise collection, the photography-dedicated space became Miuccia’s inspiration for the candy store pastel looks.

Other than being a glamorous history-infused affair, Prada’s cruise looks establish more than just one trend hypothesises into actual facts. Here’s five you should try giving a spin:

Trend #1: Nostalgia for ‘90s tinted shades isn’t just a fad
Give the yellows a rest. Pinks are in.

Trend #2: Logomania can be subtle, too
James Jean, the man behind most of Prada’s most iconic graphics, made intricate vines with the Prada logo discreetly interlocked within.

Trend #3: Athleisure ain’t going anywhere
Techy fabrics, plastic zips, and model Natalie Westling’s tracksuit seal the deal.

Trend #4: Channeling Wednesday Addams need not be exclusive for Halloween
Read: centre-parted braids, knee-grazing ribbed socks and all-black.

Trend #5: Sheer is sexy
Obviously inspired by the day-fitting lingerie trend, a handful of looks sported, sheer fabric panels that give the illusion of wearing undergarments as the top layer. It’s chic, elegant and uber sensuous.
