If this doesn’t get you pumped up, we don’t know what will. Following the Men’s Made-To-Order Microsole Lace-Up Project that ended last week, it’s the women’s turn with the Prada’s Made-to-Order Pumps Project that’s back for a limited time period only.
Put your best foot forward with three new prints for this season: Flower, Kiss and Lips. A shiny option of bejeweled buckle is available too for those with a penchant for glitz. And for the very first time, charms in amber or steel shades can also be added at the bottom of the sole alongside your initials — whether it’s the star symbol, your lucky number or even the digits to your birth date.
So how does this work? First, choose from 19 models of pumps and sandals, with or without platforms. Opt for your preferred heels from eight different heights. Next, decide between the four materials of suede, velvet and patent leather in six different hues (on top of the added three prints). Pick a shade you’d like to have on your soles, either Black, Light Blue or a soft blush pink colour called Lily of the Valley. To make it all yours, inscribe your initials and stick on some charms. Then, within 10 weeks of ordering, expect your pumps to arrive in a packaging printed with the newly added Prada prints, or if spring is not your thing – in the classic blue box embellished with a chic metal plaque. Finally, all that’s left to do is play the waiting game — and it’ll be worth it, because as the saying goes, good things do come to those who wait.
Prada’s Made-to-Order Pumps Project will be available at the ION Orchard boutique from 28 April to 2 May 2017, and then followed by the boutique in Paragon from 4 to 8 May 2017.
